1 Un visitante nos comenta John Chiang (nacido el 29 de junio 1947 en Suzhou, Jiangsu) es un actor de Hong Kong. Su nombre chino es Chiang Da- wei y a veces se le acredita como David Chiang.
Biografía:
La madre de Chiang Hung- wei y padre Yim - dut eran estrellas de cine muy populares. Comenzó su carrera como actor a una edad temprana, aparece en las películas en blanco y negro cuando sólo tenía cuatro años. Su verdadero nombre es Juan; David es un nombre artístico que le dio el director de cine Chang Cheh (su nombre chino también suena como "David"). Su hermano Paul Chun protagonizó The Sand Pebbles.
En 1966, mientras trabajaba como instructor de acción y lucha para la Shaw Brothers, fue descubierto por el director Chang Cheh, quien inmediatamente vio su potencial y presencia en la pantalla y se convirtió en su mentor.
Con la repentina partida de Wang Yu en 1969, Run Run Shaw y sus altos ejecutivos estaban buscando un nuevo galán y le hicieron una oferta. Con la orientación de Chang Cheh, Chiang ganó el premio al Mejor Actor en el 16º Festival de Cine Asiático en 1970 por su papel en la venganza. En 1973 Chiang abandonó Hong Kong con su mentor Chang Cheh y creó una productora independiente llamada de Chang Alcance Company.
