Liz Friedlander es una directora de cine, videos musicales, televisión y productora estadounidense.

Nació en Nueva York pero se mudó a Pensilvania para ir al Conservatorio de Arte Dramático de la Universidad de Carnegie Mellon. Posteriormente se cambió a Los Angeles donde se graduó en la Universidad de California seguido de la Escuela de Teatro de UCLA.

Ganó el premio Frank S. Glicksman Award por su cortometraje Eleven-Twenty.

Desde mitad de los 90 ha amasado un gran número de videos musicales dirigiendo para artistas tan reconocidos como Alanis Morissette, U2, Megadeth, Avril Lavigne, John Mayer, Celine Dion, REM, 3 Doors Down, entre otros muchos artistas. en 2006 dirigió su primera película, Take The Lead, con Antonio Banderas como protagonista.

A comienzos de 2008, Friedlander se fue a la pequeña pantalla para dirigir series de televisión, dirigiendo episodios para One Tree Hill, The Vampire Diaries, Privileged, Pretty Little Liars, 90210, Melrose Place, Outlaw y Gossip Girl.
