También co- protagonizó la película de 2006 de televisión Jekyll + Hyde y por Camino a Avonlea (1990), Cube Zero (2004) y Buscando Milagros (1989).
Nació en Londres, Ontario. Es el segundo más joven de cuatro hijos y sus hermanos son compañeros actores Garreth Bennett, Mairon Bennett, y Sophie Bennett.
Zachary Bennett formó la banda de rock indie Yonder en 2004, que pasó a llamarse Tin Star Huérfanos en 2008.
Segundo primo de los hermanos Jonathan Hagey y D. Gregor Hagey.
